have a cookie order and she wants to be able to "keep/preserve" one or two to keep. any ideas on what i can put on "keepsake" ones to preserve?
thanks!
I haven't tried it myself, but a couple people have told me they varnished (spray varnish, I believe) the 3D cookies I gave them, and have put them in their curio cabinet. I find this odd...I told them I'd be happy to make them more cookies!
Dunno how long they last, but I do have a 'display' that is over six months old and it looks like it did the day I made it.
When I used to teach decorating, I would make up cookie and candy display samples to use in class. I kept them sealed inside cello bags or on trays, wrapped tightly in plastic wrap and they lasted for years... The cookies I never put anything on, but the candy was coated in an edible confectionary glaze to make it nice and shiny..
