A coworker asked me to make two dozen decorated Thanksgiving Day cookies, 1 dozen choc chip and 1 dozen oatmeal raisin. I have no idea what to charge, this is the first time I am charging for cookies and I can't figure out Alice's (very amazing) pricing matrix. Can anyone throw out a number for this order? BTW, I live in metro NY. Thanks so much.

The general rule of thumb I've seen on here is $1/inch. So if it's a 4" tall cookie that is 2" wide, then it's a $4 cookie. Some put a limit on the number of colors on a cookie. For example, it's a $4 cookie with 2 colors .... add $0.50 for each add'l color.

For drop cookies, there is a wide range .... I suggest you scope out Arby's, Starbucks, Subway, etc., to see what the market is supporting as far as pricing on their choc chip cookies. Around here, those places sell choc chip cookies for $0.79 to $1.95 EACH.
