Would like to make a gingerbread house from scratch without a kit, has it been done on cc, if so can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks for reading.

you can look up gingerbread houses online. It is a regular gingerbread cookie recipie, and thick royal icing. But websites can show you the "blueprints" or floorplan.

Hi, I don't know whether this would help but I have saved it on my favourites.

Melted white chocolate (the cheap stuff) works faster and easier than royal icing. It's also easier to clean up any excess. A candle warmer also works very well for melting it without burning it.
