im making some carrot cake cupcakes for thanksgiving but i want to decorate them cute and i wanted to use a stiffer icing like BC but if i use a recipie w/ orange juice is it going to effect the consistency of the icing? i dont want it runny or droopy by the time they get to be eaten?! ANY HELP would be appreciated!!! thank you! Also, you can Email me at [email protected]

I would either use orange juice in place of all other liquids/flavorings or use an orange flavoring oil.

i don't use orange juice in my icings..just in my batter. if you want the flavoring in your icing, use a small amount of true orange oil in it and/or grate a couple of oranges (zest) into the icing. let it sit for a few hours to blend flavors, and it really pops!!! i use it all the time with my dreamscicle cake, and also for white batters. orange cream cheese icing is so yummy!!!!!
