Making Marzipan

I have four one pound packages of almond flour. Can I use this to make marzipan? Almond flour is ground almonds. (I have this left from my last low carb diet...don't ask me why I have this much...this stuff is really expensive! I think I bought it to make Atkins cheesecake...)

Ground nuts are the whole kernel ground down to a "meal". They are never as fine as a nut flour because over-grinding causes oiliness.

Nut flours are ground from the cake that remains after oils are pressed from nuts

Almond paste is a combination of blanched ground almonds, sugar, glycerin or other liquid, and sometimes almond extract.

Marzipan contains almond paste, more sugar, and sometimes egg whites.

Substituting almond flour for almond meal - perhaps ..
