any tips of putting a strip of fondant ribbon around the bottom of tiers. Do you roll it up? but how do you stop it sticking? do you roll it slightly thicker then normal so it doesn;t collapse? do you add tylose to it to firm it up?? any tips that you think are obvious im sure will be helpful.

Buy some heavy vinyl at the fabric store, and cut it into a wide strip. Lay you ribbon on that and roll it up for transport. Then you sort of unroll it onto the cake. If it;s small you can just hold it and apply it. If you have a help, one person places and the other person holds.
