I read a book by Colette Peters and she includes a scratch cake recipe which sounds really yummy - but all the measurements are in ounces. Since I don't have a scale in my kitchen, how do I try this recipe?
Just to clarify - she does not say that these measurements are by weight versus volume, but I assume she is measuring by weight because the butter and powdered sugar are by weight and she does measure the liquid in cups. It is just the flour and sugar that I need the conversions for.
I find this really useful (especially when a recipe is in cups and i need ounces). Hope this helps you.
