Need Options Other Than Pound Cake For 3D Cake Pan

I would appreciate any suggestion to add to a regular box cake mix other than pound cake.

me too, me too! I was just about to start a thread asking for extender recipes, i cant wait for the answers, mine will also be for 3D cakes!! Thanks everyone and thank you Angie for asking.

I use WASC a lot for my carved cakes. It is dense, delicious and easy to work with. You can find the recipe at http://www.recipezaar.com/White-Almond-Sour-Cream-Wedding-Cake-69630 Recipezaar along with al the variations.

I made the 3D duck for a baby shower ... used my reguar Betty Crocker cake mix and had zero problem. It traveled about 30 minutes to the shower and the head DIDN'T fall off! icon_lol.gif

3 D cakes are my faves! I tend to do a lot of them and I have found that Duncan Hines works best for me. icon_smile.gif
