I wanted to use applesauce instead of oil but I don't know the conversion and all inquiries on the net are inconclusive. If anyone out there can help me...it's my daughter 2nd birthday today and I wanted to cut a little healthy cake for the grandparents hence the low fat content.
I would appreciate a quick response since I need to start baking asap!

too many thanks in advance,
Jens

Very sorry you didn't get the quick reply you needed.
For future knowledge use equal amounts of applesauce instead of oil
Also: I don't add oil or applesauce to any of my cakes and they come out just fine.

Equal amounts of applesauce to oil. I also add candied pineapple and a little candied ginger to the mix and once I even substituted a portion of the water with coconut milk and it turned out wonderful!
