The link below is a picture of a cake i found that i am trying to make. How much of the crusting buttercream do i need? I got the recipe off of cake central and it doesnt say how much it makes.
Our guess is that you should make the cake whatever size you want and use the Wilton charts to make the proper amount of buttercream.

The tiers appear to be a 9x4 and 6x3 rounds so one batch of icing using 2#s of sugar should be about enough.
