What a fun site! And may I add that for anyone who's never had a chocolate mayonnaise cake, you must try it. We grew up on those and they're moist with a little zing from the mayo. Fabulous combination!

I can't even imagine.[/quote] You can use a tablespoon of mayo to replace an egg if you're short one. And it makes a very moist cake. I want to try the apple yeast one for breakfast! oh yeah! chocolate cake made with mayo was delicious! Then, again, I hate that stuff right out of the jar!(I still sneak a spoonful every now and again....shhhhhhh)

I know it doesn't sound appetizing, but it really is delicious and I'm not a big fan of mayonnaise. Can't stand it on sandwiches and such, but it's such a subtle flavor in the cake. You wouldn't recognize it as mayo if you didn't know it was in there. You'd just realize there's something zippy in the cake.
