It's me, the newbie again!!! Anyway, the question of the day is, does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get my buttercream smooth with no air bubbles and what not without using a KitchenAid Mixer? I just got back into decorating a short while ago, and I am expecting a child not to mention I am gettting ready for the holidays with a 3 year old, so purchasing a kitchenaid is not in the cards for a few months. I would like to be able to practice my decorating with some smooth buttercream until I get my mixer, but everytime I make it, it has air bubbles, which all of you should know does not make for very good decorating!!! Any tips or ideas on how to get if smoother without having a bowl mixer??? Thanks!!!
I would also like to know how to do this. I have heard some people just use a spatula and whip it by hand a few times after it's mixed together to squish out as much air as possible, but I don't know if that really works or if there is a better way.
