How do you all color your buttercream after you have mixed up a big batch in your mixer?

What is your process?

Thanks

I usually take small portions and put it into small bowls, add color and mix it well with a spatula, then transfer to individual bags. I don't color the whole batch the same color unless I use it for the base coat of a cake.

I add a little bit of color with a toothpick, mix well and if the color isn't the shade I want I add more color until it is. icon_rolleyes.gif

Never put the toothpick back in the paste jar if you are using paste coloring. Use a new toothpick every time you dip in. The frosting will contaminate the jar if you get any in it.
