I am making cupcakes for a birthday party that will be iced only, so the kids can decorate themselves w/ sprinkles, etc. So, do get their decorations to stick, I figure I need a BC recipe that won't crust. Any suggestions?

A very good one is:
2 of everything
2 cups Crisco
2 cups Butter
2 pounds powdered sugar
2 Tablespoons flavoring (vanilla or a combination)
Cream the Crisco & butter well! Slowly add the powdered sugar, then the flavoring. Mix on low speed (in KA) for up to 20 minutes. The longer you mix it the creamier it will be.
