Help! I need to make a football helmet cake, should I bake it in a glass bowl? I did a test cake, and it didnt seem to rise, and it got way too brown before it got done. Any suggestions would be great!!

I baked the top of mine in a pfaltzgraff bowl, it turned out fine. It had to bake for a very long time to get done though. It wa then placed on 2 rounds, I can't remember what size. I used instructions from ladyonzlake (Jacqui). Check out her pics. They were great and she was very helpful, answered questions I had over e-mail. Be careful though, unless she changed them, her instructions say to use the sports ball pan but you really need the larger ball pan. Like I said though, i used a bowl instead.

Thats a great idea, putting it on top of a round! Thanks again!
