hello everyone!! i would like to know if it's possible to cover a cake with marzipan and then use buttercream instead of fondant?

I usually do it the other way around... crumb coat of buttercream, then marzipan (in place of fondant) as my finish... I don't see why you couldn't though. Only one way to find out! lol
