Any suggestions on what to or what NOT to buy brandwise for the fancy wedding cake plateaus? Some are brass, heavy and EXPENSIVE! Other's are aluminum and less. Any ideas? What are your experiences? Thanks!

I have a 16 in heavy silver one and love it. i think one of the best places to find them is amazon. if you've got patience, ebay has a bunch....

There are some on ebay that are coated brass and they claim to be superior because they won't sag under cake weight. If it's aluminum, is that really a problem. Has anyone experienced it? Thanks!

I bought a cake plateau from efavormart on ebay and the problem that I had was that it had a very noticeable dent. I wasted a lot of my time trying to return it. I really don't know what material is made out of but it doesn't stand a lot of weight. Does anyone know where to buy a good quality pleateau?
