I have a cute trick when making baby footprint cookies, that I use my fist, dipped in food color to make the "footprints". I'd love to do something similar on lip cookies (to make them look like a lipstick blotted napkin, if you know what I mean). Any suggestions on how to do that, other than kissing the cookies with food colored lips? LOL Thanks!

I used a photo of lip cookies from Rolling Pin Productions (seen here) to make kiss toppers for cupcakes (seen here too!). They seem to have done their's using painted-on marker or lustre dust, but I just cut out the lip shapes and did a quick back-and-forth motion in pink royal icing to make the look of a lipstick kiss. Easy!

You can use edible ink markers on a foam stamp. If you can't find a lip shaped stamp, you can make one yourself from a sheet of foam.

Just smear some gel color on your lips and kiss 'em!!! No, seriously, I really like the ones that antonia74 posted! They look quite real!
