Yes you can, no problem.

Here are the ingredients, follow the same instructions:

3 cups flour
1 ½ tsp baking powder
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
(or ½ tsp vanilla and ½ tsp almond)
½ tsp salt

If you use salted butter, which I do, cut down on the added salt.

I half this recipe ALL the time. It works great. As far as how many cookies you will get...it totally depends on the size of cookie that you are making!
If you are making small 2-3 inch cookies, you'll probably get at least two dozen (depending on the cutter). Obviously you will get far less if you are making 5-6 cookies for a bouquet. Hope that helps.

Yes, I just made a half batch this week for Halloween cookies. It will make 3-4 dozen, depending on the size of your cookies. I roll mine not quite a quarter of an inch thick and they are usually about 3 in cookies. Happy baking icon_smile.gif
