I did this cake for a baby shower for tomorrow. I can't decide if it looks better with or without the "mod mom" plaque on it....and if it looks better with it, where should I place it? Middle tier? Or bottom tier? Opinions please!

I love your cake, both with and without the plaque. With it though, I prefer the placement in the middle. Either way very nice!!!

IMHO, leave it on, on the middle tier.

Me, I think it is an excellent element that is perfect on the middle tier but it is too big. So I think leave it off. And that's why I think you're having a hard time deciding.

Gorgeous cake!

Standing up on top of the cake...without the babies

or off completely

The babies are super and so is the plaque but like k8memphis stated, I also think it's too big for the side.

GREAT CAKE! I think it looks better off. It takes away from the babies. But if you do leave it on, middle. I agree it is too big, too. Let those adorable babies stand out!!! thumbs_up.gif

I'm with all4cake.

I think it would look good on top standing up instead of the babies.

It "goes" with the overall design of the cake better IMHO.

But if the babies have to stay I would have to vote with leaving the plaque off altogether.

Great cake either way. thumbs_up.gif

I agree, no plaque. It's lovely and the plaque distracts from the cake. Great job!!

My DD always tell me that you can over do, so my vote is for leaving it off. Cake looks great without it.

I would say leave it off but it is tooooo cute not to use so why not set it on the table next to it????

WOW!! Now I've got some opinions.

This was my thought exactly! I worked hard on that silly plaque, so why not put it somewhere! I would put it on top, as some suggested, but the mother-to-be insisted on having both babies on top of the cake. So I was trying to incorporate the "Mod Mom" theme somewhere in the cake....but I just couldn't decide if the plaque should stay or go. I agree it would look good on top and would go better with the theme, but the mom insists, and since it's her cake, she decides. haha

Thanks for all the compliments and advice! thumbs_up.gif

my first thought.....Leave it off, ....the cake is to beautiful to cover....or than again you can take off the babies, as cute as they are) and put the plaque on top as all4cakes said.
