I'm pretty sure that's simply a carved cake. Start with two sizes of square pans for each tier and carve.

I was afraid that might be the answer.

Make sure they are frozen before you start carving....Good Luck with that!

See the instructions for the topsy turvy on the front page...if you use two sizes for each tier with the bigger size on top that will help give you a jumping off point.

For instance, if it's a 6" base you want, bake a 6 and a 7 and stack them together and then carve.

You could also start with the bigger one on the bottom, carve and then flip them over and crumb coat.
