I don't have that particular mold but I have found that when I am using molds rubbing some butter into them first makes life a whole lot easier and pop them out straight away! The longer I leave fondant in certain molds the harder it can be to get it out, depends on the mold!

I haven't used that mold, but Michele Foster (Sugarflowers on here) posted how she did her bamboo wedding cake entry from the OSSAS on her new website:

Maybe it will help?

I guess it's a good thing that I didn't know there was a bamboo mold! I made my bamboo with a clay gun. It was flat on one side, but it worked great for what I was doing.

Banba's idea of buttering up the mold is a good one. Now that shortening isn't really shortening, do you think this would work as well?

By the way, where did you get the mold?

Michele
