I guess it's official .... I now do fondant cakes! I'll have to change my website from "Heck no I dont' touch that stuff!" to something along the lines of "Sure!! We can do that!"

Here's the one I delivered today. http://forum.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1279708

It's only partially fondant, but I have one coming up next month that will be ALL fondant covered. Looking forward to that one like you wouldn't believe!

So it's all the fault of you all!! I was perfectly happy in my little BC box for 25 years and you've been a BAD influence on me!

So ....... THANKS!!!!!! thumbs_up.gif

party.gifbirthday.gif Indydebi, you rule (as usual)! birthday.gifparty.gif

To commemorate this momentous occasion, I found this inspirational quote:

âNever be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the ark. Professionals built the Titanic.â

Your cake look great and I agree about the top tier - that was an excellent idea to add the white drapery.

Way to go Debi thumbs_up.gif
What i find funny is so many people avoid fondant like the plague and it's all i have ever done -(not that i am claiming to be any good at it) the thought of having a buttercream frosting terrifies me ( why am i always opposite to everyone icon_cry.gif )
Janh - fab quote - as always thumbs_up.gif

Hey,

Thanks to you, we are finally going to stop the fondant x buttercream war??? icon_lol.gif

They are both good, all cakes look great either way - fondant can taste good as long as it is not a ready-made, industrial fondant!!!

Keep up with the good work!!! thumbs_up.gif

thumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gif Things in this world we'd never think we'd hear Debi saying... icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif

Welcome to the Dark Side... Now you understand why many of us won't go back!!!

I was decorating a Wilton Dora pan for my niece on Friday SWEARING at the buttercream because "I'm a FONDANT decorator" I don't sit for hours anymore to get the smooth as glass finish on my cakes icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif
