Anyone know how I would do this?
Add the zest of one or two fresh lemons into the dough after adding the flour and omit the vanilla for lemon extract for an extra kick.
For more intense flavour, it's nice to use a sharp rasp or zester to get fine zest and to add it directly to the white sugar in the ingredients. Rub the mixture between your hands to extract as much of the citus oil as you can, it's wonderful!
(You can change the NFSC a million ways by just adding in citrus zest, spices, dried lavender, etc. etc.)
