I am in a terrible mess! I am making ShirleyW's IMBC for a cake due tomorrow and realized I have no cream of tartar.
I looked up substitutes and saw that you can use lemon juice. Well that would work if I had any! I would go buy some CoT but the little one is in bed. Does anyone know anything else around the kitchen to use or can it be omitted and still get the same results?
I have never used cream of tartar or lemon juice in my IMBC... mine is just soft ball sugar, egg whites, butter & flavoring.
