Can you use Gum-Tex and water for making edible glue?? I know about the Tylose, but since I don't have any of that and the nearest craft store is 45 minutes away.....will Gum-Tex and water work??

Thanks
Rhonda

I would give it a go and see what happens.

Failing that a little fondant mixed with a bit of hot water should do the trick!

I've tried it add discovered that it's best if you mix in a little PS, too. GumTex-PS-water.

I am a Wilton instructor and I tell my students to use the gumtex that comes in their kit:
1/4 teaspoon gumtex with 2 Tablespoons water, mix, cover and store in the fridge!

I also was taught to use just fondant and some water. A small round ball of fondant with about 2 TBSP water and let it sit....its always worked for me.
