I've seen a pic on here for a 3D guitar that I LOVE. Asked the decorator how he painted the fondant but haven't got a response. I was hoping you could help me.

How can I paint my cake to look like the one in the pic?

yeah that's cjf she's super busy!! In any case, you can achieve that look by starting with brown fondant and then use some brown americolor gel mixed with some clear vanilla to make it thin or you could also use brown airbrush color...the idea is to have a thin "paint", then just brush it on in streaks, you can also take a clean towel (make sure it doesn't have lint or it'll stick to your cake) and brush off excess as you go.....almost like how you would stain furniture, does that make sense???

Practice on a spare piece of fondant first.
