I am wanting to make some candy pieces for a halloween cake. I was wanting to wrap some of the candy pieces in a candy paper, to give a more realistic effect.

I thought about doing something like gelatin, but I think you have to dip a wire into the solution. I saw an ad on how to make gelatin roses, and got that idea. But really don't want to use the wire.

Does anyone have any ideas??

THANKS!

some grocery stores carry (our super wal-mart does) in the asian foods aisle some rice candy (pretty tasty too) and once you peel off the mylar wrapper it's still wrapped in a paper looking wrap, but it's completely edible....I think it's rice paper! It just dissolves in your mouth when you suck on it, maybe you could use that?
