I have an order for a dairy free cake this weekend and i was hoping to alter WASC. The main substitution would be yellow cake mix for white. Do you think that will make a (negative) difference?

I have a vegan sour cream that is pretty good actually, with the same consistancy as cows milk sour cream.

thoughts? i need to bake tonight, so your quick thoughts are appreciated!

I have used a yellow cake mix before with the WASC cake. Not a problem. I just make a spice cake one today with a few more added spices and it tastes yummy!

Good luck.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner icon_sad.gif
Definately a yellow cake can be sub'd for white.......
In fact *any* cake flavor can be used in my *original* WASC recipe.
