I will be making a honey cake for my cousins upcoming birthday
The original recipe calls for this cake to be made in a loaf pan with no icing/frosting.
Since im going to be making this as a layered cake, im need to figure out what filling frosting im going to use.
I am thinking to use an apple filling with either vanilla or cinnamon SMBC. How does that sound?
Also does anyone have a good apple filling to share?
Orange would be a nice compliment!
i actually thought of orange after i posted this.
the recipe has oj in it and i think the honey i have in the house is orange blossom honey.
so orange buttercream may be the route i go.

I was thinking that lemon bc would be nice, along the same lines as orange.
I usually make a green tea cake with honey IMBC, maybe you could do the reverse... honey cake with Matcha IMBC, if you like green tea. It would make the frosting very green though.
