How do I get the walnuts around the sides of the cake like I see in the carrot cake photos.
Chop them. Put them in your plam. Sort of "roll" your palm up the side of he cake. Even better if you can hold the cake at a slight angle with the other hand. Have a bowl below to catch (and reuse) what falls off. You'll have to work with either a non-crusting bc or before your bc crusts.
