I have a request for a cake that is the Italian flag but they also want to have poker in there as well. How can I get the two of the themes go together? She wants a 1/4 sheet cake with the flag colors on it, as for the poker theme am lost! I am having a brain fart and can't come up with anything! HELP

That sounds tough! If you're able to put the cake on a round board you could make it look like it's on a poker table and put some poker-related items around. Good luck!

I suggested we do small poker chip cakes, but she only needs enough to feed 30-40 people. SHe gun ho with the two themes.

How about using the poker chips, sticking out of the cake on skewers, to spell out happy birthday [name]?

. . . maybe you could talk her into something like this one . . . http://cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1275812 . . . and the chips could be green/white/red . . . and the sides of the "game table" could also represent the flag as well (green/white/red/green/white/red on each of the six sides) . . .

I'm thinking perhaps you can make the 1/4 sheet a deck of cards and on the back making the Italian flag. You could also do a couple of small stacks of chips sitting beside.

Perhaps make the cake to look like a poker table with the Italian flag in the middle and then some stacked poker chips in red, white and green. Not an easy combination!

What about making the poker chips out of chocolate covered Oreos. Maybe, take them apart and dip each single cookie so that they are thin like actual poker chips.

I thought about this idea but melting three different colors of chocolate that extra time, I might though.
