Ok , I'm trying this and it's new for me. I was reading where they say add 50/50 heavy cream and a good chocolate to pour over cake and let it sit in refridge to whip for a frosting type. What I want to know is if we want something besides chocolate can we use the nestle flavored chips? You know the semi sweet chocolate carmel and the peanut butter? Can we use the Merkens chocolate or the white chocolate? Thanks for any information.

It will work, provided you use flavors you like to begin with.

Some of those choices may not whip up, but they will certainly pour over the cake. If the ganache is too thin, add more cooled melted chocolate.
