Everytime I use fondant on cakes it seems as if the colors run onto the icing almost like the fondant sweats and slides on the icing and the color runs. How do I fix that. Also Can I use flavored syrups to drizzle on my homeade cakes for more moisture and flavor? I just want to try new and different things. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Thank you,

How are you decorating the fondant? Are you using buttercream or royal icing for the decorations? Do you have a lot of humidity there?

I'm not sure about using flavored syrups. I have never used them. I think the simple syrup is usually used on sponge cakes. I could be wrong here.

Try experimenting with new recipes, or adding/exchanging things in your current recipes that might help to make them more moist. Without seeing your recipes, I don't really know how to help you there. Sorry.
