I have 19 cake mixes that have a "use by" date that's a year old. I absolutely hate to throw them out. Can anyone tell me if they're actually still ok? The 10 that I currently want to use are white and French vanilla DH.

I personally don't eat anything that's pass the expiration date. I would not use anything that's pass that date to feed to anyone else as well not even family.

To state a cliche, when in doubt, throw it out.

The $20.00 or so that you'll spend to replace them is worth it. Don't ever take the chance.
