I have a friend who can't have any dairy, but needs a birthday cake.
I would appreciate any suggestions.
Also dairy free frosting if you have it.
Thanks!

I am searching for the same thing! Well, it doesn't have to be a white/yellow cake - it could be any cake at this point.

Does anyone have a recipe for a dairy-free cake?

Thanks in advance!

I am lactose intolerant, and when I need to put a lot of milk into a cake, I just substitute Lactaid whole milk. It is normal milk with the lactose already broken down. The same would go for any icings you make with milk--Lactaid will do the trick. It is available in most large grocery stores. HTH icon_smile.gif

I'd suggest a chiffon cake (made with oil, water and eggs.) or an ice water white cake using (GASP) Shortening or margarine.
