Hi, I am making a belly cake and I have made a bunch of little "toys" out of gumpaste. However I want to make a unique rattle, maybe a ball made from flowers or looking like it's covered with crochet or lace, but I can't get anything I try to come out right. I wanted it to really rattle so I tried covering a ping-pong filled with rice with gumpaste but it's way to big. I need something about 3" long total. Does anyone have any unique idea's for making gumpaste rattles? I need this by Friday icon_redface.gif Thank you in advance for any ideas.

i used a real rattle at one point and covered 1/2 with gumpaste x2 (2 halves) i let it dry. i used rice for the rattle and glued it together with royal icing. i did the decorating after it had all hardened. worked like a real rattle.

I'm planning a silver rattle, like a dumbell.... Not sure how it is going to go though....But it seems it is different for today but still traditional
