I just started making NFSC and all I have is one cup of stick butter. I need two cups! Can I substitute 1 cup of tub butter? It's important that these cookies turn out as I need them for tomorrow. Please help me! icon_biggrin.gif

Tub margarine contains more liquid than stick butter (that's why it can spread when cold).

Tub margarine will cause your cookies to spread like crazy....

You'd be better off substituting margarine or shortening for the balance of the fat needed.
