Has anyone tried using rubber stamps (food safe, of course) to stamp designs on fondant with food colors? And, if so, what advice would you give for a first-timer?
I have! I bought those little squirly designs from Michaels and stamped on a fondant cake with airbrush colors. You need to blob the color a little first, but they turned out cool! I assume they are food safe...
Yes, I have the airbrush color set from AmeriColors so I was going to try those. Good to know they worked for you. I found a set of damask stamps by Inkadinkado and they were $9.99 (25% off), which is MUCH less than the set of stencils in the Martha Stewart wedding cakes book that I like. I'll try these first and see how I like them.
