Diy Cupcake Stand - Need Help!

Hi everyone,

I am making a cake, cupcakes, and cookies for my friend's baby shower. I want to make a cupcake stand following the directions on cake journal. To those of you that have made one out of those materials - would it be sturdy enough to hold an 8" cake on top? Any suggestions on what size cake dummies and boards I should use?

I'd like to have the cake on top, plus 3 boards for cupcakes.

if you are wanting to make the stand from cake journal, then yes, it will be sturdy. if you are worried, you could always add some BC or RI under the boards to "glue" them to the dummies.

I have used the stand and it is very sturdy.
Another tip also is I often decorative paper to cover my seperators and give it a different look.
