I have a friend that wants a square box cake and have never covered a square cake in foundant before. How the heck do you get the corners so perfect? I'm a little nervous! Any tips would be much appriciated.

Also when using a simple syrup as a crumb coat do you just brush it on? Been wating to try this also.

Welcome to CC!!!

Sqaure cakes are really just as easy as round. You get the corners stuck to the cake first then smooth the rest.

Personally, I like a normal layer of icing under my thin layer of chocolate fondant, so I can't give advice on simple syrup.
