I am making a cake and seen one that had a silver/gold color drawn just a little here and there and it looked so good. I cant seen to figure out what it is there are no pens (edible) or food coloring etc that I can use.

Also I am making a Autobot theme cake and I seen a cool one that had it layered differ colors and the top was grey..but it had something brushed over it and gave it them look more Autobot themed sorry hard to explain....But what can you do w/red, my son wants red on top any ideas.

I have a pic of both but I dont know if I can post them or not.

Thanks so much.

It's luster dusts. To make gold edible paint you mix a clear alcohol (everclear, vanilla extract, lemon extract, etc) with gold luster dust .
