I have a cake recipe that calls for 1 c. amaretto liqueur and 1 c. non-dairy amaretto flavored creamer in both the cake and the whipped cream icing. I am wondering if there is amaretto or another flavoring that I can use in place of the liqueur? I just don't have any of that on hand, or know much about brands, quality, etc. of various liqueurs.

Thanks!

Almond extract can be a substitute, but one cup is way too much. I would use almond extract with rum, but easy with the extract it's very strong.
