Covering W/ Fondant

how long before "delivery" can I cover with fondant? working on my first fondant covered 3-D project and i have a lot of finishing touches that need to be attached and sized out right.

Delivery is Thursday night.

a fondant covered cake can sit out for a couple of days. the fondant will keep the cake moist and yummy! so no worries if you start a couple days ahead of time!

Thank you!!! I do cakes on the side and have a full time job, so it's night work for me. the cake is for my hubby's bday party thursday night and he and I both are off Thursday, but I would like to have it done and hidden before the party. it'S all about the element of surprise and would like for that to be at his party. not just us in the kitchen. lol.
