I want to make a few different types of cupcakes, but don't need a ton of each flavor. Do you know if it's possible to cut MOST recipes in half without it changing the final product? Has anyone tried just using half of a Duncan Hines (or other purchased) box mix?
I have cut many in half, mostly to ADD half a recipe. It does help for best results to weigh the ingredients, if possible.
Mixes also work, weighing the mix.
