I'm using gum paste mix for the first time and was how long it will keep in the freezer if I don't need to use it all? do you recommend freezing it? or do I have to mix the whole 453 g container? any other mix amounts I can use? any help will be appreciated!

I'm using the wilton mix, I think I'm gonna just mix the whole container and whatever I don't use I'll just freeze, I' sure it'll last long too!! Thank you onceuponacake!

I just double wrap any leftover gum paste in plastic wrap, then pop into a zip top bag and squeeze the air out, then leave in the pantry. I've had some gumpaste in there for months and it's still good. It gets a little hard but if you just knead it for a little while it softens up enough to use.

I like using fondant with some gum-tec mixed in to make gum paste.

Didn't realize you can freeze gumpaste!
