I just got a weird cake order....a sardine with a tiara on it's head....it's for the Sardine Queen.....anyway I'm trying to figure out how make my icing have that silver/gray color. I have an airbrush but I don't have silver food coloring. Also, not sure what kind of icing I'm going to use...I know she would prefer butter cream but fondant would look so much better....any ideas on the color??? Thanks!

Use grey fondant, then brush it with silver luster dust thinned out with vodka. It will look better if you bursh it with thicker silver liquid than it will if you airbrush it on, because you'll be able to make it shinier. You can take a round icing tip and use it to make imprints of fish scales on the fondant.
