I'm making white chocolate wasc cupcakes shaped like bowling pins (from Hello Cupcake).

I wanted to dip them in white chocolate to get the outer coating and I wanted to include some frosting on the base cupcake. I was wondering if I should dip them in just melted white chocolate or white chocolate ganache?

If I make the ganache then I can whip it to use it as frosting as well , correct?

I've never worked with ganache so I'm not 100% sure what I'm doingicon_smile.gif

Thanks in advance.

You can use either the w chocolate or the w ganache. Yes, you can whip the ganache to use for frosting as well.

I know this sounds dumb but will be the diff in dipping in straight white chocolate or the ganache? I'm assuming the straight white choc will be more "solid" , will the ganache harden up enough to hold the shape etc?

Sorry for all the newbie questions
