Somewhere on the large buttercream frosting thread yesterday, I read some advice that said to add just a bit of Corn Syrup to your buttercream frosting. She (and I apologize for not being able to remember who said this and I can't seem to find it again) said that the corn syrup would help in applying the frosting to the cake smoothly.

Well, I just wanted to say thank you to whomever said it because I thought it made the frosting application much easier! It also added just a bit of shine to the frosting which I really liked.

I made a small batch (about three cups) and probably added a tablespoon of the corn syrup. I would say it was a good amount, could have even added a bit more.

Thanks to whomever gave me that idea! icon_smile.gif
