How many wedding servings can you get out of a 2 layer (4" high) 9" square pan?
According to the Wilton Wedding Cake Cutting Guide ( http://www.wilton.com/cakes/cake-cutting-guides/wedding-cake-cutting-guide.cfm )wedding cakes can be cut into pieces approximately 1 in. x 2 in. by two layers high (about 4 in.). So you could get 40 servings (9 rows 1 inch high X 2 inches wide) + 4 1X 2 inch servings along the end. Or to make it easier, just say 36 servings (9 - 1" rows and divide it equally the other direction (2 ¼â)
Sorry, posted it twice!
